Background
Sandleford Park East is allocated as a strategic location for new homes and parkland.
Outline Planning Consent for Sandleford Park East was granted by the Secretary of State in 2022.
The Outline Planning Consent granted up to 1,000 new homes, including 40% affordable housing; an 80-home ‘Extra Care’ facility; a new two-form entry primary school; expansion land for Park House Academy School; a local centre providing new shops and amenities; two new means of access onto Monks Lane; open space, including a country park which makes up 70% of the site; drainage infrastructure and other associated infrastructure works, including offsite highway improvements.
The Outline Planning Consent also confirmed the parameters of the site.
In the future, we need to work together with the community to develop the design in more detail. The detailed design will then be submitted to West Berkshire Council as a series of Reserved Matters Applications.
Consultation
Over the coming months and years, we will engage with our neighbours and the wider community, to ensure that we create the homes and environment that their family and friends want to live in.
Each consultation will be widely advertised by Bloor along with the help of local community groups. If you would like to receive regular updates, why not sign up to our newsletter below.
